Advice needed !!
« on: May 22, 2019, 10:12:51 PM »
Hi guys,

Mazda 3 2016 - metallic 'clunk' noise when releasing brakes
I've had an annoying braking issue on my 2016 Mazda 3 recentlyhi  Sometimes when I release the brakes, I hear a distinct metallic "clunk" sound coming from near the bottom of the pedal.
Basically it's a solid clunk sound heard when the brakes are released after braking at any speed. It's intermittent though, so sometimes I don't hear it.

Hi bro, anything wrong with the brakes is very dangerous. I recommend you getting it checked ASAP.

Are you brake pads still OK? Does the disc need skimming?

Best to go to a workshop to get it checked ASAP. I'm hoping it's something as minor as the shim plate behind the brake pads are 'out of place'. Good luck!
